Foundation

The Space Popularization Center "PLANETARIUM - TORUŃ" operates as a cultural attraction run by the Foundation of Friends of the Planetarium and the Nicolaus Copernicus Museum in Torun. It was established on February 2nd, 1990.

The Foundation runs the Planetarium independently, financing its activity and development from its own financial resources. It does not use external budget subsidies.

The statutory goals of the Foundation focus mostly on the popularization of astronomical knowledge and related disciplines among society, especially among young people, and the popularization of the life and work of Nicolaus Copernicus.
