GEODIUM

A revolving globe model with the diameter of 2.15m is the central element of this interactive exhibition. Thanks to play of lights one can easily see why we have four seasons and why day follows night. Around the globe there are interactive devices that allow visitors to experiment by themselves. These explain, among others, the phenomena of a magnetic field, cyclone, axial precession, as well as renewable energy sources and tectonic plates’ movement. Installations showing how out planet changed over the history (volcano, ocean, glacier and a mockup of human civilisation) are set in four corners of the exhibition.
Descriptions of Geodium interactive exhibitions can be found in separate brochures available in the ticket office.

Visiting time: 40 minutes.
